First Blush Box Pre-Launching Exclusive Beauty Box Review

If you're a beauty enthusiast then i supposed you've already known about all the fuss regarding numerous beauty boxes available in Indonesia this year! :D

If you're not familiar with "Beauty Box", it's basically a type of subscription service where customers receive a box filled with samples / full size beauty products (make-ups, skincares) or tools, vouchers, etc. on a monthly basis. This beauty box is delivered right to your address so it's pretty much like getting a beautiful surprise in front of your door each month! Woohoooo~ Sounds exciting, right?

Today, i'm gonna review the newest beauty box in town!

Yes, it's First Blush Box !

Last August, First Blush box team offered to send me First Blush's pre-launching exclusive beauty box and i agreed out of curiosity. (^___^)

Hmm... what kind of beauty box is First Blush? What kind of beauty products would be included inside? I wondered until finally, my very first First Blush box has arrived safely, YAYYY~!

This is the design of the packaging. Whoaaa, triangular? (O__O) how interesting! not the kind of shape i had in mind. There's also a strap on top of it so you can easily carry the box.

...Well, i thought things were perfectly fine.

The box was delivered on time, First Blush team is really nice, the products are cute and all...  UNTIL my fella beauty bloggers and i discovered the 2 Mini O.P.I nail polishes are fake products ! I was really shocked when i found out~!!! (\(>____<)/)

The shock wasn't exactly caused because i wanted to get free original O.P.I nail polishes, i could purchase them anywhere, there are lots of O.P.I stores in the department store, right. I was mostly shocked by the fact this was the First Blush Box's exclusive pre launching edition, means they were just about getting ready to walk into the Beauty Box industry in Indonesia alongside with other big companies as their competitors (Beauty Treats Indonesia, Lola Box, etc.) but how could they have such a poor quality control? :(

I was honestly pretty upset considering the fact they should have tried their hardest to win us over...

I firmly believe in order for services companies to grow, they must first gained trust from their target audiences so that they can develop overtime. 

"Did First Blush Box do this intentionally???"

WAIT, DEAR!!! 

Don't jump to conclusion just yet!!! Few days after the rumours have spread, their team sent a clarification email !!!

As written on the pic above, it's clear that they ACCIDENTALLY bought the fake mini O.P.I  and felt terrible about it. To express their regret, they apologized and promised to send replacements of the fake products with the original mini O.P.I nail polishes to every beauty bloggers they have sent their boxes to. They also ensure us that they would do quality control so this kind of case shall not happen again in the future.

I personally gave props to them for sending us a clarification email to clear up any misunderstanding! They admitted their wrongdoings, hurriedly apologized and offered a solution by sending the original mini O.P.I nail polishes as replacements. I think it's really professional and nice of them.

Packaging

First blush beauty box has an exciting design, it's by far the only triangular shaped beauty box i have ever seen in Indonesia. I love the simplicity of the colors, it's bold yet elegant. 

Quality Control

First Blush Box has given their words. Yes it's a shame that the pre-launching edition didn't go as planned but they ensure that all of the products sent from now on will be ORIGINAL. No more poor quality control. They have learned from the unfortunate fake products incident.

Time of Arrival

The box will arrive at your door on the 4th week of the month. If you're not patient enough then this might be a negative point. I do not mind though, it's like getting a present at the end of the month. lol~ 

Does it worth the money?

First Blush Box costs 168.000 IDR / box, considering the products i got for this price i'd say yes, it's a good buy! (if you buy them separately it will cost you way moreee~) BUT please keep in mind that you will get different products each month, next month's box might be as good / even better / worse than this month's.

This box provides 3 kind of subscription plans, for 1 month / 4 months / 12 months. You can choose the plan which suits you best!

The Micellar Solutions Sensibio H2O by Bioderma Review

Today i'm gonna review an amazing product which might be the answer for you! This product is sold worldwide every 5 seconds! How cool is that? :D

Meet the 1st cleansing water : the micellar solutions Sensibio H2O from Bioderma

Have you heard of "Bioderma" before? It's actually a pretty well-known brand overseas. As in Indonesia, it has just started to be available in Guardian Stores since September 1st, 2013 and unfortunately not all of the products, only the Sensibio H2O. If they sell well, then the Bioderma team will bring more of their products later on to Indonesia.

Since many Indonesian people are not familiar yet with Bioderma, here are my conclusion on the product knowledge taken from the official website to enrich your information.

What exactly is Bioderma?

Bioderma is an independent laboratory based in Lyon, France, develops and markets, in close collaboration with dermatologists and renowned institutional research centers (CNRS, INSERM, CHU, Universities, etc.), dermo-cosmetic products intended for medical prescription and medicinal consultancy. Bioderma is among the most frequently prescribed laboratories by French dermatologists and is now present in more than 70 countries.

What is Sensibio H2O?

* At the cutting edge of innovation, Bioderma has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, the Sensibio H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes. It removes water-resistant make-up.

* The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin's balance (soap-free, physiological pH).

* Soothing and decongesting active ingredients prevent the feelings of irritation often caused by cleansing.

* Sensibio H2O guarantees excellent cutaneous and ocular tolerance (tested under ophthalmological supervision).

* Fragrance-free. Alcohol-free. No Phenoxyethanol.

How to Use Sensibio H2O?

* Soak a cotton pad with Sensibio H2O and cleanse the face and eyes to remove any make-up, repeat the application until the cotton pad remains clean.

* Sensibio H2O needs no rinsing, however it is essential to dry your skin by dabbing your face with a clean towel.

* IMPORTANT NOTE! *

Do not apply Sensibio H2O by hands to remove make-up from your face, always use cotton pad. It's designed to be used with cotton pads as you can see on the picture below, when you sweep off your face with Sensibio H2O applied on the cotton pad, the oil, dirt and make-up will all be lifted and stick on the surface of the cotton pad instead.

Packaging 

Sensibio H2O is available in 2 sizes, 100ml dan 250 ml. Mine is 250 ml. The packaging is made from a quality light-weight plastic material. The bottle is simple and transparant so it's easier for us to see the amount of product we have left inside.

The bottle comes with a flip-top pink colored plastic cap.

Texture, Color, Scent

With no fragrance, colorant and alcohol added, Sensibio H2O really resembles mineral water. Very watery texture with no color and scent at all.

Ingredients

WATER (AQUA), PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT, MANNITOL, XYLITOL, RHAMNOSE, FRUCTOOLIGOSACCHARIDES, DISODIUM EDTA, CETRIMONIUM BROMIDE.

Cleansing Power Test

When i attended Bioderma Skin Class, Mr. Tan Yi Chieh (Bioderma Asia Pacific Trainer) explained that many Indonesian people might not believe how powerful Sensibio H2O is because of its water-like texture but he convinced us that the product is really gentle and powerful indeed.

I did a test to prove its cleansing power! Let's see~ :D

I applied various make-up products onto my hand, from BB creams, foundations, eyeliners, eyebrow pencils and lipsticks all from Asian to Western brands.

Result 

First thing first, this product is really, really gentle!!! It surpised me. (\(O__O)/)

I don't have sensitive skin BUT most make-up remover products will usually leave my skin not comfortable, but this product is different. This is the real deal. No kidding! *love love*

As for its power, i'd say it's pretty powerful, but not too powerful. By the first swipe it's capable of getting rid the BB creams and foundations, most lipsticks on the second and the eye products on the third. There are still some better products when it comes to power than this product BUT this is really the gentlest one!!!

I did another test on my face. This time, i used make-up for 12 hours straight from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Now let's see how well Sensibio H2O getting rid of my make-up!

It only took me 3 cotton pads to get rid all of the make-up. Whoa~ Super easy and gentle! >__<

All clean and ready to sleep! :)

Conclusion of Overall Performance :

Bioderma Sensibio H2O really suitable for those with intolerant skin and even sensitive skin because it's really gentle. It doesn't contain any harmful ingredients, fragrance-free, alcohol-free and colorant-free. Simple packaging and really easy to use. I really recommend this product as your daily make-up cleanser. As for those who often use heavy make-up, you might want to use a more powerful make-up cleanser. All in all, this is simply the best make-up remover i've ever tried, i use this product regularly now!
