The Body Shop New Colour Crush Collections!

Hello dear beauty enthusiasts~! (^___^)/)
Guess what? I'm doing live blogging from The Body Shop beauty bloggers gathering on Jakarta Fashion Week at Senayan City!
Woohoooo~ super exciting! :D

All beauty bloggers invited are exploring the latest make-up collection from The Body Shop :

The Colours Crush!

The Colour Crush Collections consist of 2 types of make-up products; lipsticks and eyeshadows.

This collection offers a wide range of colours. There are a total of 24 shades of the new Colour Crush Lipsticks from three colour families :

1. The Brightest Reds (6 shades)
2. The Finest Nudes (9 shades)
3. The Sweetest Pinks (9 shades)

What's so special about these Lipsticks?

The Colour Crush Lipsticks have a great colour pay off (so intense) but don't unnecessarily make the lips dry, on the opposite, it's really moisturising! What's the secret? It's said that The Body Shop team travelled all around the world to get a high quality pigment, then they combined it with Cherry Seed Oil and Community Fair Trade Marula Oil which comes from naturally ripe Marula fruit. The Marula oil makes the lips feel soft. The colours are easy to blend and comfortable to use. Moreover, the rich moisture Colour Crush Lipsticks have a subtle rose scent! Sounds great, right? :)

The Heart Inside

Psssttt! The cooperation with Eudafano Women's Co-operative (Community Fair Trade Marula Oil) helped 1750 women to have a fair income. The women proudly said they now have a higher status in the community. So, by purchasing this lipstick, we indirectly contribute to humanity as well. :D

Moving on to the Colour Crush Eyeshadows, There are a total of 30 stand out and highly pigmented mono-eyeshadow shades varied from elegant beiges to shocking brights with a silky-soft texture, from pearly to matte finish. The sleek packaging design makes it easy for us to see the colour inside, this packaging can be recycled, too!

What's so special about these Eyeshadows?

The Colour Crush Eyeshadows are made from colour pigment obtained from Italia. The high quality pigment is combined with Community Fair Trade Brazil nut oil, Marula oil, Honey, Organic Virgin Coconut oil and Sesame Oil. These eye-catching eyeshadows can be used wet or dry, suitable for building layers of colours, easy to blend, dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested.

The Heart Inside

The Community Fair Trade Brazil nut oil comes the Candela co-operative in Peru. The "castanerous" (nut gatherers) collect the broken nuts that can’t be sold and hand-crack them to extract the oil. This trade has helped to protect 3,000 hectares of rainforest in the Madre de Dios region. Sustainable harvesting helps to support the indigenous species that depend on the Brazil nut tree, like the orchid bee.

Here's my look for The Body Shop Make-Up Challenge using the Colour Crush collections today!

The highly pigmented eyeshadows and lipstick made it easier to me to achieve this make-up creation! :)

That's it for today dear beauty enthusiasts~!
Hope you like the post
I will update more later so stay tuned
Have a fabulous day and take care! (^____^)/)

Pink Ribbon Inspired Make-Up Look (Breast Cancer Awareness Month)

Hello dear Nitarts' make-up studio guests~! (\(^___^)/)
Hope you're doing great!
In this post i want to share about some facts regarding breast cancer which i think are pretty important to be read by people, especially women and my make-up creation inspired by the infamous pink ribbon, the international symbol of breast cancer awareness.

People are excited for some reasons on October, especially because of the Halloween, i made a look for last year's Halloween and i'll be making one too this year, but October is also a breast cancer awareness month in the U.S so i made a make-up creation for it and hope this will raise your awareness, yes you, dear readers.

What is Breast Cancer?

Cancer is a group of diseases that cause cells in the body to change and grow out of control. Most types of cancer cells eventually form a lump or mass called a tumor, and are named after the part of the body where the tumor originates, so breast cancer is a kind of cancer that develops from breast cells. Breast cancer begins in the breast tissue that is made up of glands for milk production, called lobules, and the ducts that connect the lobules to the nipple.

How to detect Breast Cancer?

Breast cancer typically is detected either during a screening examination, before symptoms have developed, or after symptoms have developed, when a woman feels a lump. Most masses seen on a mammogram and most breast lumps turn out to be benign; that is, they are not cancerous, do not grow uncontrollably or spread, and are not life-threatening.

Why is it important to detect Breast Cancer early?

The goal of screening exams for early breast cancer detection is to find cancers before they start to cause symptoms. Screening refers to tests and exams used to find a disease, such as cancer, in people who do not have any symptoms. Early detection means using an approach that lets breast cancer get diagnosed earlier than otherwise might have occurred.

Breast cancers that are found because they are causing symptoms tend to be larger and are more likely to have already spread beyond the breast. In contrast, breast cancers found during screening exams are more likely to be smaller and still confined to the breast. The size of a breast cancer and how far it has spread are some of the most important factors in predicting the prognosis (outlook) of a woman with this disease. Most doctors feel that early detection tests for breast cancer save thousands of lives each year, and that many more lives could be saved if even more women and their health care providers took advantage of these tests.

What are the signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer?

When breast cancer has grown to a size that can be felt, the most common physical sign is a painless lump. Sometimes breast cancer can spread to underarm lymph nodes and cause a lump or swelling, even before the original breast tumor is large enough to be felt. Less common signs and symptoms include breast pain or heaviness; persistent changes to the breast, such as swelling, thickening, or redness of the breast’s skin; and nipple abnormalities such as spontaneous discharge (especially if bloody), erosion, inversion, or tenderness.

Breast cancer ranks as one of the leading cancer types in number of cases diagnosed and is second only to lung cancer as the most prevalent cause of cancer death in women. Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer in females worldwide, it accounts for 16% of all female cancers and 22.9% of invasive cancers in women. 18.2% of all cancer deaths worldwide, including both males and females are from breast cancer so yeah, if you're a man and think you're safe, unfortunately you're not!

I just did a breast USG last week at a local hospital to make sure everything's fine and apparently mine aren't 100% normal !!! it's not dangerous but still, i have "homeworks" to do... T__T

Dear readers, if you're not sure if yours are in a good state of health / feel any discomfort / find any changes / lumps / abnormalities etc. please please pretty please i encourage you to go to the nearest hospital in your area and get yours checked immediately for your own sake!!! >___<

The USG cost is affordable, i did it for IDR 325.000 and if (i hope not) you suffer from breast cancer, you can receive immediate treatments needed and can eventually save your life.

I gathered and summed up the informations from Google, If you want to know more about anything regarding breast cancer, just google it. :)

Moving on to my make-up creation, i don't necessarily think because it's a pink ribbon inspired then i should draw pink ribbons all over my face, lol. I want to accentuate light pink as the rose petals colour and decided to make my make-up kinda looks like a light pink rose garden.

It's said that light pink conveys admiration and sympathy. This symbolizes my feelings towards people who suffer from breast cancer, admiration for fighting the disease and sympathy because their journeys' aren't gonna be anywhere near easy. :)

Here are some photos of my pink ribbon make-up inspired :

"Show Your Creative Eye with MAKE OVER Eye Liner" Make-Up Competition!

Howdy dear Nitarts' Make-Up Studio Guests~!
Hope you're doing great! ^___^
Today i wanna share about the 30 minutes (then suddenly announced as 20 minutes) make-up competition i joined in last week on Sunday, September 29th by MAKE OVER!

The theme of the MAKE OVER competition was "Show Your Creative Eye with MAKE OVER Eye Liner". It took place at Beauty Bazaar Matahari, Mall Taman Anggrek, Jakarta, Indonesia and was especially held by MAKE OVER for members of IBB (Indonesian Beauty Blogger) only. I originally planned to prepare myself for this competition by finding inspirations for the concept, colors, etc but unfortunately i couldn't because of a work that needed to be done... GAHHH~ T__T

The competition focused on achieving a creative eye make-up look so all of the contestants were allowed to put on make-up on their faces (except the eye make-up, of course) before the competition started (primer, foundie, powder, blush, highlight, shading, lipstick, etc).

When i arrived at the spot, the competition wasn't started yet so i used the time to take pics with my dear fella beauty bloggers and also thought about what kind of eye make-up i should make for the competition as i looked throughly to the MAKE OVER cosmetics... and A-HA! once i swiped on their pigmented green and white eyeliners i knew those babies were gonna do the trick! trololol~ XD

The contestants were divided into 2 batch, the competition was planned to give 30 minutes for each batch (total time : 60 minutes) BUTTTT they suddenly changed it into 20 minutes only (total time : 40 minutes)!! Whaaaaaaaa~~ (O___O) and shortly, the competition finally began!!!

1st batch (Hanny, Riyanti, Iva, Endi) in action! XD

The final look!

2nd batch in action! (Me, Jesslyn, Neni, Sha Aulia)

GOSH! 20 minutes went by in a flash! >__< I hurriedly putting on eyeshadows, green and white eyeliners i came across earlier and managed to put on fake lashes in the last 20 seconds or so, lol... it was thrilling yet super FUN~!!! XD

All of the contestants' final look!

*this photo is taken from MAKEOVER's instagram*

Finally, the winners announcement~!!!

1st winner : Sha Aullia
2nd winner : Me (\(^__^)/)
3rd winner : Iva Asih

*Some of the photos above are taken from Sha Aullia's blog under her permission, special thanks for you dear~!!! :)*

Here's my creation for "Show Your Creative Eye with MAKE OVER Eye Liner" competition :

Too bad i didn't manage to snap an "after" pic with Endi because he was already wiping his make-up off the time i took a pic with Hanny!! ;(

With Sha Aullia, the winner!!! Congratulations! (\(^ o ^)/)
I fancy her festive purple fake lashes. She looked awesome, right?

Hanny (the pretty mom) - Neni (the babyfaced) - Jesslyn (the cute Korean lover) - Me (the Should - Lost - 40 Pounds ASAP... T___T)

Fweegy - Endi - Jesslyn

After the competition has ended, Fweegy, Endi, Jesslyn and i did some make-up shopping, grabbed lunchies and hang around for a while at the mall. I always love beauty events because i can meet up with beauty blogger friends!!!  yayyy~ ^___^

Fantasy Make-Up Look : Emotionless Cowboy Lady!

Hello Dear Nitarts' Make-Up Studio Guests~!
It's October 2nd, woohooo!
Happy Batik day! :D

For those who aren't familiar with "Batik", it's a traditional cloth with some extraordinary patterns from Indonesia, most are produced by using a manual wax-resist dyeing technique.

Anyways, it's been more than half a year that i haven't shared my fantasy make-up creations on my blog and it seems like some of you guys have been missing it, thank you loads for the support!
*love love* (\(^ o ^)/)

Yesterday was my free time so i decided to make play with make-up as a "come back" for my fantasy make-up creations on my blog, YAYYY! *throws confetti*

Well, i honestly didn't know what kind of look i wanted to create yesterday because my decision to make a fantasy make-up look was too sudden! I usually thought about the concept first then picked the products i'd be using to interpret the concept.

So yeah, since i had no clue about what i was about to create, i just went with the flow (crazy, i know !!! >__<).  I began to prepare my face as the canvas by applying foundation. I used a foundie which is probably 2 shades lighter to achieve a pale-colored face then filled my eyebrows with purple eyeshadows and applied some colors on my face by using pink - purple - green - yellow - white eyeshadows. Afterwards i didn't know what to do next, lol... so i grabbed black eyeliners from various brands and started drawing some patterns on my face according to my liking, lalala~ XD

I really enjoyed the process until i realized that the result looked somewhat ridiculous... (-____-) but then... it kind of growing on me!

To complete the whole look, i used pale colours to make a gradation on my lips, swiped black nail polish on my nails, picked up my cowboy hat and... VOILA!!! After done with the whole look, i came up with an idea for the concept.

What's the Story?

It's about a cowboy lady who has been emotionally hurt and betrayed many times by people she wholeheartedly trusted throughout her journey. Drowned in devastation, she reached the point where she lost the capability to express what she feels inside as a shield to prevent people from breaking into her guarded yet fragile heart.

Meet the "Emotionless Cowboy Lady" !
