"Show Your Creative Eye with MAKE OVER Eye Liner" Make-Up Competition!

Howdy dear Nitarts' Make-Up Studio Guests~!

Today i wanna share about the 30 minutes (then suddenly announced as 20 minutes) make-up competition i joined in last week on Sunday, September 29th by MAKE OVER! 

The theme of the MAKE OVER competition was "Show Your Creative Eye with MAKE OVER Eye Liner". It took place at Beauty Bazaar Matahari, Mall Taman Anggrek, Jakarta, Indonesia and was especially held by MAKE OVER for members of IBB (Indonesian Beauty Blogger) only. I originally planned to prepare myself for this competition by finding inspirations for the concept, colors, etc but unfortunately i couldn't because of a work that needed to be done... GAHHH~ T__T

The competition focused on achieving a creative eye make-up look so all of the contestants were allowed to put on make-up on their faces (except the eye make-up, of course) before the competition started (primer, foundie, powder, blush, highlight, shading, lipstick, etc).

When i arrived at the spot, the competition wasn't started yet so i used the time to take pics with my dear fella beauty bloggers and also thought about what kind of eye make-up i should make for the competition as i looked throughly to the MAKE OVER cosmetics... and A-HA! once i swiped on their pigmented green and white eyeliners i knew those babies were gonna do the trick! trololol~ XD

The contestants were divided into 2 batch, the competition was planned to give 30 minutes for each batch (total time : 60 minutes) BUTTTT they suddenly changed it into 20 minutes only (total time : 40 minutes)!! Whaaaaaaaa~~ (O___O) and shortly, the competition finally began!!!

GOSH! 20 minutes went by in a flash! >__< I hurriedly putting on eyeshadows, green and white eyeliners i came across earlier and managed to put on fake lashes in the last 20 seconds or so, lol... it was thrilling yet super FUN~!!! XD

D'Eyeko "Beauty in Her Eyes" Competition!

Hello Dear Nitarts' Make-Up Studio Guest ! :D

Phew, i'm finally back with a new post regardless of how things have been going...

Anyway, we're only 8 days away from March, oh wow.

(Jeez. Excuse me, i just can't stop whining about how fast time has been these days!!! >__<)

Despite of having some things to be done, i managed to join D'EYEKO Photography Competition called "Beauty in Her Eyes" because i love competition, especially regarding Art/Beauty lol. I bet most of you dear readers have already known what is D'Eyeko, yes it's a brand which sells premium eyelashes.

The brand claims :

1. Made from 100% sterilized natural hair.

2. Easy application, lightweight, comfortable.

3. Natural looking result, just like the real eyelashes.

4. Can be used several times.

5. Safe for contact lens user.

6. 100% handmade.

Sounds really good, eh? i'll review the eyelashes later though because today's post is about the competition. First thing first, the registration fee is 200.000 rupiahs (around US $20) !! ok it might sounds like nothing to you, but as for me, it's the most expensive regis fee i paid by far for joining a competition x___x ... They sent me 4 pairs of eyelashes though, so it's even.

I had to submit 4 photos for the competition :

1. Model - "Before" look.

2. Model - "After 1" look.

3. Model - "After 2" look.

4. Photographer.

The main consent of "Beauty in Her Eyes" competition is to bring out the beauty of your model through her eyelashes in the "After" photo, the model's eyes have to be expressive.

Let's get real now, there's no wayyyyy i could win this competition after seeing the rest of the competitors!!! They took it seriously, with studio lightings and such, unlike me *cough* (yea that's a bit upsetting, i thought the competition was just for fun, if i knew most of the contestants are semi-pro/pro, i wouldn't have participated in the first place, lol 8D).

MonShu Girl Look-Alike Contest By Shu Uemura

Hello MakeUp Enthusiasts~! :D

It's been awhile since my last blog post, eh? been busy with some stuff. Sorry! ;(

GOSH i really have many things to blog in December

anyway, i'm back with another report of a makeup competition 

it's the MonShu Girl Look-Alike Contest by Shu Uemura Indonesia! *weeeee~*

I wanted to join this competition since the first time i read about it on Shu Uemura Indonesia twitter account, but like i said before, November was pretty hectic and idk if i could join... x___x moreover, my hair is nothing like the Monshu Girl ! Mine is long and no bangs, it's like totally the opposite from the official look. As the deadline's approaching, some of my beauty blogger fellas told me to join then i encouraged myself to spend a little time at night for imitating the look.

By the way in case some of you didn't know, Shu Uemura had the winners announced by November 28th, two of the three winners are our very own IBB members, Hana and Sheilla, yay~! congrats again for you both! ^^ *hug hug* Endi Feng and i lost and yeah we're both disspointed *guess all of the contestants all were* since the prize is Shu Uemura x Karl Lagerfield limited edition collection products worth Rp 1.000.000,- T____T but heyyy it's a competition, right and all of the winners really deserved to win IMHO, i was happy for them, i even congratulated Sheilla many times lol XD

IBB "Enchanting Fairy" MakeUp Challenge

Hello Dear Nitarts' Makeup Studio Guests! :D

I'm about to reveal my submission for the Indonesian Beauty Blogger (IBB) first ever Makeup Challenge in November. The theme is "Enchanting Fairy"

The first time i read the word "Fairy", it really reminded me of Tinkerbell lol but i wasn't interested of creating a MakeUp look of her. I'm always driven by passion of doing something different, not that i'm saying Tinkerbell's look is mainstream, but it just doesn't appeal that much for me. I wanted to explore the dark side of a fairy, simply because the dark sides of everything are more "enchanting" to me :)

Concept

I made up a fictional fantasy character : Fairy of the Mystical Blue. This fairy is easily misunderstood by her surroundings because of her assertive appearance and she doesn't even try to clarify everytime she's being badly accused and finally, she's exiled from the Fairy World because of something she didn't do. Taken over by sadness, she felt like she's the most miserable fairy out there and solitude is her only friend.

Beauty Photography Competition (Desa Warna 2012)

Hiya dear Nitartstudio guests, Happy Monday! :D lol

i'm about to share one of the past Make Up competitions i took a part in! :D

Well, it's not exactly a Make Up competition, it's a Photography competition (i LOVE Photography since High School! just in case you guys had no idea) held by UKM Studio-51 Atmajaya University, Jakarta, Indonesia called "Desa Warna".The length of time given to submit the photo was from Feb 27th until April 1st *and here i am, 8 months later writing a post regarding this competition! lol i didn't have a Beauty Blog back then, remember? :P * anyways, there were 4 categories up for grabs with one main theme for them all, which was "Indonesian Culture" :

1. Human Interest

2. Fashion

3. Architecture

4. Beauty

5. Still Life

I joined the 4th category : Beauty. I had to rush finding a model and thinking about what kind of Indonesian Culture Make Up i wanted to achieve (i ended up going with "Batik" sub theme) , since i was busy with my Uni assignments so timing was really crusial... i wanted to get my Assignments done well on time, on the other hand i didnt want to miss this out as well!! ;P  

I asked one of my bestfriends named Amelia Wijaya right away and she said yes! we're planning to do the photoshoot on Saturday evening because of her working hours. I planned to have the photoshoot done at Kota Tua Jakarta, a historical public place built by the Dutch but unfortunately it was already DARK when we reached there O___O" so... i initiated to go to Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall instead, the only place that came accross on my mind because i've done various things there lol this place has become somewhat like my saviour whenever something unpredictable happens.

Once we arrived, i hurriedly go to this one corner which i think is the least crowded everytime i go there, and i was right! We sat down on this long bench and i started to do her make up!! *Oh, finally*

Although there wasn't many people passing by BUT people who did pass by were  all glancing at us!!! ROFL. Some of them even asked things like "Is there gonna be a show??" and such, i apologize for humiliating you my dear friend!! ;P

In the end i lost but hey that's OK, i had a great time making this Make Up! and uh... i do agree from Photography wise those photos above are not good enough to win the competition. lol so maybe next time! :D

I'm not crazy about K-POP, but! >__< Big Bang, 2NE1, and SNSD are exceptional, why? simply because i freaking LOVE them! It's crystal clear you can only find one Boy group from the three stated above, so it's easy to say they're my only fave Boy Group from Korea, that's why it's mandatory for me to see them LIVE, specifically T.O.P, my bias in Big Bang! *love love* How can a man voice be that heavy, really? even if his body and looks weren't this good, i'd still like him for his amazing voice, promise :D

OK enough with the fangirling lol now let's get to my choice of  K-Pop singer who inspires my make up style! Bet you guys see her face often, yes yes, she's Sandara Park from 2NE1 who is also the brand ambassador of Etude House! :)

Why? She's beautiful ever since she's a kiddo! lol seriously she's pretty much the same as Yoona's SNSD whom look is still gorgeous without make up, they do not need make up to enhance their look, they were born prettily. *love love* Her make up style in Etude is girly, which is why they use the colour pink a lot, like the Etude House Brand image, needless to say, i love Sandara and Pink so yeah she's a perfect candidate. :)

But wait! i'm not doing her style of Girly/Cute Make Up like these pics, because it's too common, for this giveaway contest, i'm doing a completely different look of hers, elegant one!

i was stunned by this pic OMO i love the photographer, Make Up Artist, Hair Stylist, and whoever set the lightings! The lights are almost flawless for a beauty shot. *envy*

And... here's my version of Dara's photo above! i have no one to ask for taking the pics with my Dad's DSLR cam so just bear with my SelCa (Self Camera) with bedroom lighting, i have just washed my hair so i can't do Dara's hairstyle because my hair kept on going down and down and down...and unfortunately i run out of Hair Spray so yeah i'm sorry.
